The St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry is an independent non-governmental, non-commercial organization which helps create favorable conditions for the development of Russian business.
The activity of the Chamber is directed first of all at the expansion and strengthening of interregional cooperation as well as at the development of direct ties between Russian organizations and their foreign partners.
To attain these aims, the divisions of the Chamber offer a very wide range of services to organizations in order to help entrepreneurs successfully run their business in various trades. No small importance is attached to the representation and protection of entrepreneurs' interests at all levels, including the highest bodies of power.
To attain these aims, the following public formations have been set up and are functioning at the Chamber: the Exhibition Association, Association on Ecological Business, Foreign Economic Association, Working Groups for Industrial Repair Improvement, for Transport, Light Industry, Small Business, for the Development of Enterprise in Insurance Business, etc. , for cooperation with the FRG, Poland, Italy and Sweden |
