MISSION STATEMENT
To serve the interests of our members by representing their views in the region and by providing them with services of value. To strive to promote economic growth and a positive business environment in the Western Cape Province.
The Standing Committees are the "think tanks" of the Chamber, where matters of interest and concern to the wider business community are considered and debated by members. Recommendations are made to the Executive Council on action to be taken by the Chamber, and on major policy issues. The committees cover a full spectrum of issues affecting our area and, when necessary, appoint task groups to focus on specific topical issues. To parady Abraham Lincoln, the Standing Committees are "of the members, by the members, and for the members"! Unlike the Executive Council whose members are elected and appointed in terms of the Chamber's Constitution, membership of the Standing Committees is open to anyone who is a member of the Chamber. Telephone the appropriate secretary to become a member of the Committee/s of your choice, and you will automatically receive notices and minutes of meetings, and thus participate in matters which concern you and your company.
